About Bogdan Jensen

I am a Romanian-born, Berlin-based painter.

My path into art has been, and remains, a non-linear journey through different ways of understanding what it means to be human.

Architecture in Timișoara taught me space. Pure mathematics in Berlin and Kolkata taught me abstraction and elegance. Ballet taught me posture, balance, and that time itself is space. Classical music taught me harmony and tension. Life drawing taught me to see, understand, and translate presence, but above all, it taught me life .

My autism and synaesthesia teach me how to exist inside that presence. These are not side notes to the practice, but part of how I perceive and organise the world: through intensity, relation, and layered sensation. All these pursuits are neither contradictory nor incidental, but pillars for my understanding of the depths of human presence.

I now work across painting, drawing, writing and installation, with a practice rooted in direct encounter, live observation, and human presence. Much of my work reclaims history painting from below through painting grounded in lived presence.

My exhibitions include shows in Berlin, among them Pride Art Berlin in 2024, ArousArt 2025, street art interventions, and Monbijou Theater 2026.
