"Life and Remains"

Life and Remains

Life and Remains brings together oil-stick and brush paintings of life models and skulls shown in a tense or distorted tandem.

The exhibition moves between presence and what remains: the living body observed in time, and the skull as structure, residue, and enduring form.

Location: TZOM, Diffenbachstr. 69, Berlin

                Mo-Fr: 17:00 - 22:00

                Sa-So: 10:00 - 22:00

These works were made from direct observation. Some come from the charged presence of the live models; others from the stillness of the skull.

Shown together, they do not oppose life and death, but rather create a tension and a space between them. Flesh, bone, volume, weight, and disappearance meet here in oil stick and direct brushwork: immediate, physical, and honest.

All works are done within one sitting, as to preserve the freshness of each individual moment.
