About the work

A seated figure appears through ochre, red, yellow and pale blue marks.
The body is partly formed and partly open, with the surrounding blue ground pressing close around the figure.

In Still Here, the turned head and exposed posture create a sense of alert stillness.
The work holds the figure as a living presence — vulnerable, luminous and unresolved, yet firmly remaining.
