About the work

Drawn from a live model, Unsaid explores the tension between presence and reserve. The figure turns inward while remaining unmistakably aware of the viewer, suspended between closeness and distance. Rich blues, warm ochres, and deep charcoal tones shape a portrait that feels both luminous and withheld. It is part of the Exhibition Longing in Brown Pastels.
